Trinidad and Tobago is Thrilled!
Children from the St Patrick Education District took part for a 2nd year in a pilot of World Education Games.
It was a thrilling experience for most of the participants. Some had internet access challenges though.
The spirit of determination in teachers, parents and the students made the 3 day event a success. Over 450 Certificates were awarded and also 81 Special Awards.
Participants who are learning about the games methodology included the Director of Curriculum Planning and Development[Ag] Ms Gaynelle Holdip, Curriculum Officers, School Supervisors,Principals,Teachers ,Parents and students.
SCHOOLS Taking part were: The St Patrick Education District “Virtual” School, Avocat Vedic, Rousillac Presbyterian, San Fernando TML, Vessigny Secondary, Siparia West Secondary , and Shiva Boys’ Hindu College of the Prime Minister’s [Hon Kamla Persad-Bissessar] constituency,Penal/Siparia.
We look foward to 2013 with much enthusiasm also and wish to thank the organisers and their powerful computer infrastructure for a wonderful experience. The certificates are being distributed and framed and top three students per school in Spelling, Maths and Science received little tokens from the Curriculum Planning and Development Division of the Ministry of Education, Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
