Maths is in the Air!
Finally the World Education Games have started. And I am sure that every participant is trying to do his/her best. Lots has happened since my last blog entry.
I gave a speech in front of the primary department and asked everybody to get ready for the games. Moreover my school is also taking part in UNICEF School-in-a-Box fundraising activities.
My second speech just happened five days ago! I only knew that Mr. McMahon was coming to our school to give me the certificate and I needed to thank him. When he took out a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from a grey bag, I thought it was for the principal or some other teacher. But when he actually announced that it was for me, I almost fainted!
On the following day we had a unique session to practice for the World Education Games and special fund raising activities for the UNICEF School-in-a-Box at school. One way we raised money was by donating things for the flea market. Teachers also helped students to organize a movie theater, an obstacle course, video games, and sack race. To do an activity, the students donated money. There was not only excitement, but also generosity in every corner. It was tremendously nice to see everybody getting involved. I also started to ask my relatives to share their kindness towards the forgotten children in this world.
I am very proud of my school, because within such a short time, they organized both the World Education Games campaign and also the UNICEF School-in-a-Box fundraiser.
It’s AWESOME that we can help!
