Congratulations and Thank You from Slovenian Ambassador Anna
Hi! Great job to everyone who participated! It was really tough this year and dramatic ’til the last moment. We all knew that we can hardly beat Kaya G, but we all tried to be the best we could. After being 5th for a while, I ended up on 12th place. Considering that I am the first of all girls in my age group, there is a lot of reason to celebrate!
My admiration goes to all this years winners, especially Kaya G who came first for the third time in a row! Congratulations also to Moosa F who was first on the leader board for a looooong time, and to Satvik R who took the lead after. Congratulations to all of you who played fairly regardless of the results. It was fun to compete with you guys!
I would also like to thank World Maths Day Team for all their support and especially for taking care of those who tried to spoil our competition. I hope you caught them all!
I have special thanks for the most active member of my team Clare C for her original ideas on how to promote WMD and for her help. I hope we did a good job. It was great honour to be a World Maths day Ambassador and although it meant extra work and effort, I really enjoyed it.
Big thanks to all the students and teachers from The British International School of Ljubljana, for their help and support. It was great to see how enthusiastic were the youngest ones who were competing on WMD for the first time.
Well, I´m sorry that it is over. A pile of homework is reminding me that tomorrow is just another school day. Now, back to routine.
Looking forward to seeing you on World Maths Day 2012.
NOTE FROM WORLD MATHS DAY: All results are currently being validated. Final results will be announced shortly.
